LP SmartSide products are engineered using our advanced SmartGuard® process with zinc borate to resist rot and termites. LP SmartSide products have uniform thickness and density with no knots or voids. They’re always silica-free, and work and cut just like traditional wood; no special tooling required.
Since LP SmartSide products weigh significantly less than fiber cement, installation cost and time are significantly reduced. And a total installed cost study found that crews installed LP SmartSide siding 12 percent faster than fiber cement siding1.
