® OSB Rim Board is manufactured by combining rectangular wood strands arranged in cross-oriented layers with waterproof heat-cured adhesives. This results in a structural engineered wood panel that shares many of the strength and performance characteristics of plywood. Yet, unlike plywood, it is consistent in quality and has no gaps or voids.
LP SolidStart LVL Rim Board is made from ultrasonically and visually graded veneers arranged in a specific pattern so naturally occurring defects have no concentrated effect on its performance. The veneers are then bonded with waterproof adhesives under pressure and heat. That makes LP SolidStart LVL Rim Board exceptionally strong, solid and straight.
