APA Rating
The APA - The Engineered Wood Association, a nonprofit trade association, is an approved quality supervision and testing agency for softwood plywood and structural wood panels. The APA and APA EWS trademarks are the consumer’s assurance that products which bear them have met specific manufacturing and product performance guidelines that are carefully delineated in specification guides available to architects, builders and engineers.

Energy Star®
ENERGY STAR is a government program that offers businesses and consumers energy-efficient solutions, making it easy to save money while protecting the environment for future generations.

Green Building
Green or sustainable building is the practice of creating healthier and more resource-efficient models of construction, renovation, operation, maintenance, and demolition.

Home Energy Rating (HERS)
HERS (Home Energy Rating Systems) provide a standardized evaluation of a home's energy efficiency and expected energy costs.

Radiant Barrier
The Department of Energy defines Radiant Barriers as a product installed in buildings to reduce summer heat gain and winter heat loss, and hence to reduce heating and cooling energy usage. ASTM defines a radiant barrier as having an emittance value of .1 or less.

Radiant Barrier Sheathing 
Radiant Barrier Sheathing combines a thin, durable sheet of aluminum overlay with a structural panel such as Oriented Strand Board (OSB) to produce a sheathing product that can be used in a variety of building applications.
