LP® Moulding Installation Tools
You need only a few basic tools to complete your project with LP® Moulding. In fact, you may have most of the tools you need on hand already.
- Miter box
- Latter or tall, stable stool
- Tape measure
- Hammer
- C-clamp
- Fine-tooth saw
- Sandpaper
- Finishing nails (very small heads)
- Putty stick that matches the color of your moulding
- Nail set (to punch nail heads below the moulding surface)
- Safety glasses
- Gloves
- Coping saw (has a thin blade for cutting intricate shapes)
- Chalk or pencil
- Hand file
- Paint
- Caulk
Optional Moulding Tools
If you already have some of the following tools, they would be helpful – though not essential – for easier installation.
- Power miter saw
- Air-power nail gun set at 95 PSI or less
- Construction adhesive compatible with polystyrene
- Router
- Electric or cordless drill
