Made from Recycled Wood
LP WeatherBest Premium Grain and Deep Grain decking are made from pre-consumer recycled wood particles mixed with High Density Polyethylene plastic. The wood — basically wood flour — is leftover material from other manufacturers. It’s yet another example of LP finding ways to be efficient with natural resources.
Fights Mold and Decay
LP WeatherBest also features SmartGuard™, a zinc borate process that provides exceptional resistance against fungal decay and inhibits mold growth. This means an exceptionally durable exterior product that withstands tough environments to keep your deck and railing looking fabulous for years to come.

Tested against nine competitive products, LP WeatherBest decking showed the least fungus growth after eight weeks of exposure. That’s because LP WeatherBest composite decking is made with high quality materials infused with SmartGuard™, a special process that adds mold, rot, and termite resistance.
Our decking also resists warping and splintering, and all LP WeatherBest products carry a Class C fire rating.
