LP® Safety“No one should have to get hurt while working at LP.”
Often heard at LP, it is more than a phrase, it is a foundation to our operations and daily activities. And, heath and safety extends far beyond the walls of our facilities, into the homes of our employees and the communities where they live.
Safety is a core value at LP. Why? The family and friends of our employees expect them to return home in the same condition as when they left for work. We also believe a safe workplace provides the foundation for a productive workplace.
LP is an industry leader in safety, and LP management and employees are proud of our safety record and accomplishments. Seven LP facilities in the US are certified OSHA VPP sites. We regularly reach safety milestones, such as Golden EWP’s 1 million hours without a recordable incident. And, we encourage employees to feel personal ownership for their health and safety, as well as the wellbeing of their co-workers.
The following safety and health principles guide our daily activities at LP:
- Safety and health of employees is a Core Value.
- All work related injuries and illnesses can be prevented. No one should get injured working at LP.
- Management is accountable for safety and providing resources that ensure safety at work and promotes safety at home.
- Working safely is a condition of employment.
- Employee involvement is essential to establish and sustain an Injury-Free Culture.
