Habitat for Humanity House
Welcome to the Neighborhood Habitat for Humanity House – LP
When LP® packed up and moved our headquarters to Nashville, Tennessee in 2004, getting settled was full of the typical excitements: new neighbors, a new home and learning the ropes. To get involved in our new community, we did what we do best: We built together.

Habitat for Humanity House – LPWe teamed up with Nashville’s Habitat for Humanity, an expertly operated non-profit organization that coordinates the volunteer resources to build over 20 new homes for needy families every year in the Providence Park community in Nashville.

Funded by the LP Foundation, the house was built with LP products by 120 LP volunteer employees and friends—representing most of the LP Nashville team. These caring hands cut, hammered and screwed into place a houseful of LP I-joists, LP Top Notch floor panels, LP structural Oriented Strand Board, LP Vinyl Siding, LP SmartSide soffit and trim, and LP TechShield radiant barrier roof sheathing—to maximize energy efficiency for the homeowner.  While the community gained another safe and solid Habitat home, the LP team gained even more: the camaraderie of working side by side and the pride of truly building community—one house at a time. We’re also supporting the excellent work of our friends at Habitat for Humanity by contributing to land development for additional Habitat homes. And we’re proud that LP OSB, LP I-joists and LP TechShield will be used in every house built in the Providence Park Habitat for Humanity neighborhood in 2005.
